Cocktails Alfresco
FINALLY, it's Fall! With this beautiful time of year comes idyllic weather, football tailgating, fire pits, cookouts and wine on the patio with a blanket! After pouring over Pinterest for months, I decided it was time I brought the bar outside for entertaining. There are an array of options to accomplish this. You can use a bar cart, potting bench or outdoor etagere. I went with the latter and fortunately found a bargain on Craigslist that correlated perfectly with my existing wrought iron patio furniture. I debated it's location and opted for the unused basement stairwell doorway, nestled near the grill. A little spray paint and accessories completed my look, with a thank you to my mother who lent me her collection of brass barware to contrast the stark white iron.
Not surprisingly, it was a roaring hit at my first gathering with this new addition, only affirming people like convenient cocktails! I would recommend creating your own outdoor bar and don't be afraid to DIY something creative.
Essentials: brass bucket on bottom for beer, barware glasses, ice bucket, champagne (of course), cutting board for lemons and limes. Don't forget the bug spray and basket of koozies!
